What's the Process and Services
| Do I need a plan? | No & yes - Plans indicate you’re committed to a project. Quotes can only be prepared off the detail on the plan. If just starting out I will visit on site discuss your actual needs. This proceeds to preliminary sketches then a construction plan. |
| What about kitchens, Bathrooms, Laundries? | Using the 35+years' of experience in designing, sub trades and waterproofing; I will design a new layout to any style or budget; do all necessary alterations to openings & services. Either supervise your supplier, provide my own, or custom build as required, install all appliances, splashbacks. I know what works and what doesn’t. |
| Do you do free quotes? | Consultation & pre-plan, what, how, cost guesstimate is available; this will determine how to proceed & expected costs. Proceeding with sketches to plan process is fee- based (minimal) no commitment beyond that. Have a plan? Advice is based on that plan. However, no plan no quote. Kitchens, bathrooms are done along similar lines without fee. No multiple quotes - choose a design that suits you. Have multiple quotes and looking for more? Your proposal probably needs a rethink! |
| Do you give warranties & guarantees? | Well it’s the building industry; trust your instincts; fully insured & approved home warranty. If I wouldn’t do it at my place I won’t do it at yours. I have known most my subcontractors for 20+ years they’re all experienced and reliable. |
| How long is it going to take? | Short time frames cost more, affect quality & interfere with proven subcontractors availability; if time really matters be up front, cost it in. Ask yourself what you want to remember the price & completion date or how well the work was done, quality of the subcontractors, minimal hassle. Small jobs 1-3 months larger work 6 to 12 months – don’t believe what they tell you! I have rarely disappointed a client because of the time frame!
